A Taste of Cinema: film and food in San Sebastián
San Sebastián is one of Spain’s great marvels: an elegant culinary and cultural treasure in the Basque region, celebrated for its glamorous Film Festival and distinctive pintxos culture. Its atmospheric Old Town borders one of Spain’s finest beaches on the Bay of Biscay, making it one of Europe’s most coveted summertime destinations. The San Sebastián Film Festival is among the most prestigious and celebrated in the world, but can be difficult to experience as a casual visitor. Our tour with CJ offers a rare opportunity to enter into the festival’s world, while also savouring the city’s remarkable food and atmosphere.
Side trips will include a visit to the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, arguably Frank Gehry’s architectural masterpiece, and the charming nearby culinary city of Hondarribia, with its lively txikiteo culture.
Having previously led tours to the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon and to Hollywood, and serving as President of the International Critics Jury at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, CJ is ideally placed to lead our group through a tasty cinematic and cultural experience.
