Nordic by Nature: design and architecture
Back by popular demand after selling out in 2026
What if truly great design lies not in what we build, but in how we respond to the natural world around us? Together with Anthony Burke, experience how a connection to nature and the environment has been fundamental to the evolution of Scandinavia’s modern design philosophy over the last 100 years.
Our tour of six incredible locations in Denmark and Norway explores modern and contemporary architecture, with a twist, in a culture based on lagom – the pursuit of balance in daily life. We start with the clean lines and cool designs of the city, but we’ll also swim in a harbour pool in Copenhagen, enjoy a sauna in Norway with a Sauna Master, indulge in forest bathing and take in dramatic fiords. Along the way, we’ll also talk with local architects about their design influences, visit the birthplace of Jørn Utzon (architect of the Sydney Opera House), view the tallest residential building in Denmark currently under construction and take a ride on the famous Flam scenic railway.
Thank you so much for your interest.
