Until 23 August 2026, lower level 4, The Tank, Naala Badu building | Australia’s most dramatic exhibition space is completely transformed as artist Mike Hewson brings his unique and boundary-testing brand of social sculpture to the Art Gallery.

Super Nature

Until February 2027, lower level 2, Naala Nura building | 'Super Nature' explores places where humans and nature interact and intertwine, the role of gardens as memorials, the wild nature that lives alongside (and sometimes within) us, and the cultivation of nature for survival and sustenance.

Until 8 November 2026, lower level 2, Naala Badu building | Dharug artist Billy Bain reflects on the migration of the long-finned eel – a passage from saltwater to freshwater that mirrors his own path of cultural return.

Until 10 January 2027, ground level, Naala Nura building | With a name paying homage to one of Maya Angelou’s famous books of poems, this exhibition focuses on a culturally diverse group of women artists living in Australia.

Mechelle Bounpraseuth: ສູ້ສູ້ Sou Sou

Until February 2027, lower level 2, Naala Nura building | Encounter towers of mangosteens, big bowls of dragon fruits and giant stacks of canned food in this new interactive exhibition that bursts with colour, memory and ritual.
